Description

Have you tried lattice fries in Korean Gochujang sauce? Korean delicacies has become widely acceptable to people around the world. This dish is flavorful even without meat.

Ingredients

Lattice Fries

  • 250g U.S. Lattice Fries
  • 100g White Onion

Korean Sauce

  • 40gm Gochujang Sauce
  • 60gm Tomato Sauce
  • 20ml Honey
  • 40ml Soya Sauce
  • 30gm Brown Sugar
  • 25gm Garlic (chopped)
  • 15ml Sesame Oil
  • To garnish : Roasted Sesame Seed & Spring Onion (Chopped)
  • Cooking Oil for Frying

Preparation

  1. In a medium size pot, heat the oil to 190°C. Carefully place the U.S. Lattice Fries into the oil without splattering. Cook the U.S. Lattice Fries for about 5 minutes or until golden brown before removing from the oil.
  2. To prepare the sauce, heat a separate saucepan to sauté the chopped garlic before adding in the rest of the Korean sauce ingredients. Cook the sauce over low to medium heat, stir well. Once it starts to bubble, remove the saucepan from heat.
  3. In a wok, heat the oil before adding in the onions. Sauté the onions until soft. Add in the U.S. Lattice Fries, sauce and mix well. When all the U.S. Lattice Fries are coated with the sauce, plate and serve immediately.
